Three Irish Artists. One Beautiful Setting.
This November, Tulfarris Hotel & Golf Resort welcomes a special exhibition bringing together three celebrated Irish artists: Eamonn Ceannt, Martin Mooney and John Morris.
Presented in partnership with Gormleys, the exhibition brings sculpture, painting and the Irish landscape together in the beautiful surroundings of Tulfarris.
Set overlooking Blessington Lakes and the Wicklow Mountains, the exhibition offers visitors the chance to discover three very different approaches to movement, light, colour and the landscape around us.
Come and explore the exhibition at Tulfarris from Saturday 14 November to Sunday 29 November.
Art Inspired by Ireland
From bronze sculpture to atmospheric landscapes, each artist brings a distinctive view of Ireland.
Eamonn Ceannt
Sculpture · Bronze · Movement
Eamonn Ceannt is one of Ireland's leading contemporary figurative sculptors.
Working exclusively in bronze, his sculptures capture the movement and character of the human form. He is particularly known for his dancers and performers, with inspiration drawn from ballet, opera, contemporary dance and the circus.
His work brings a sense of energy and movement to the exhibition.
Martin Mooney
Painting · Landscape · Light
Born in Belfast and now living in rural Donegal, Martin Mooney is regarded as one of Ireland's leading fine art painters.
His paintings are known for their rich colour, depth and beautiful use of light. His landscapes range from the coastlines of Connemara and Donegal to quieter scenes of the countryside, flowers and everyday life.
Mooney's paintings offer an atmospheric view of the Irish landscape, both familiar and unexpected.
John Morris
Painting · Landscape · Colour
Blessington-based artist John Morris has spent much of his career exploring the changing effects of light across the Irish landscape.
Born in Dublin in 1958, Morris is primarily self-taught and has exhibited extensively throughout Ireland, as well as in London.
For this exhibition, John has created a special collection of paintings inspired by Tulfarris and its surrounding landscape.
The works offer a personal view of the estate, capturing changing light, colour and atmosphere across the grounds.
A View Worth Visiting
The exhibition takes place at Tulfarris Hotel & Golf Resort, surrounded by 200 acres of beautiful countryside overlooking Blessington Lakes.
With the Wicklow Mountains stretching out beyond the lake and the historic 18th-century Manor House at the heart of the estate, Tulfarris provides a unique setting for the exhibition.
As you explore the artwork, you'll also be surrounded by the landscape that has inspired so much of Irish art.
Visit the exhibition. Take in the views. Discover something new.
Working exclusively in bronze, Eamonn Ceannt is recognised for expressive figurative sculptures, particularly his depictions of dancers and performers.
His work can be found in private and public collections including UCD, Blarney Castle, Sligo Town, Bewley's and Trinity Townhouse Hotel.
Martin Mooney
A graduate of the Slade School of Fine Art, Martin Mooney has exhibited extensively in Ireland and internationally, including exhibitions in Dublin, London, Toronto and New York.
He is known for richly coloured landscapes, atmospheric paintings and a highly developed approach to his craft.
John Morris
Born in Dublin and based in Blessington, John Morris has exhibited in more than fifty exhibitions across Ireland, including solo exhibitions in London and exhibitions with Gormleys.
His paintings explore the changing effects of light on landscapes, water and people through energetic, expressive brushwork.
