Three Nights: Day 1

Check into Tulfarris, treat yourself to a light snack and a welcome drink in our Brasserie Bar, where the team are on hand to welcome you. Once you are all settled you might like to take a visit to one of our most prestigious local attractions is the Russborough House, located just a 10-minute drive from the hotel.

Russborough is regarded as one of Irelands most beautiful houses with magnificent views of the Blessington Lakes and Wicklow Mountains. It is the reputed to be the longest house in Ireland with a frontage measuring 700 feet and houses the Beit Art collection.

There is plenty to do for adults and children alike. From the excellent playground to a magical fairy island and maze, parkland walks and walled garden, artist’s studios and the National Bird of Prey Centre, outdoor activities with CP adventures.  Please note prebooking is required for CP. Not forgetting the incredible tour of the house itself, there is no better place to get out in the fresh air.

After a day of travel and discovery, join us in our newly refurbished Fairways Restaurant, for a sumptuous evening meal carefully crafted with ingredients from local suppliers. Dessert is a must… the dark chocolate and hazelnut mousse is not to be missed.

Enjoy a nightcap in the Brasserie Bar, why not try a Tulfarris Tipple ….when in Rome!

If planning an outdoor day tomorrow, why not order and prepay a picnic for tomorrow from reception before retiring to your luxurious refurbished bedroom.Fare

Three Nights: Day 2

After enjoying a full Irish breakfast in our Fairways Restaurant, why not take in the spectacular views that West Wicklow has to offer by taking a walk along the Blessington Greenway.

The Blessington Greenway walk links the historic town of Blessington with the Palladian mansion at Russborough House. The trail starts 7km from the hotel at Russellstown just across from Russborough House. The walkway leads north along the shores of Blessington Lakes and through forest and natural woodland. To enjoy the full Greenway and loop back to Russelltown it is 10km walk, but the distance walked is entirely up to you. Along the way you will have the opportunity to enjoy a picnic and appreciate the magnificent scenery and wildlife.

If you are up for a little adventure you could take a boat out on the lake. You would need to pre book in advance, details can be found at Blessington Lake Boat Hire. The boat hire would take place from Ballyknockan which is a 15-minute drive from Tulfarris Hotel & Golf Resort.

When you return to your home from home, spend your evening enjoying the fabulous flavours in our Brasserie Bar. Everything from light snacks to hearty meals, the Brasserie Bar is a perfect place to enjoy a casual meal. When weather permits, enjoy the comfortable seating on our beautiful terrace, overlooking the 18th green and fairway, sipping your favourite tipple.

Three Nights: Day 3

Another early start to beat the crowds today. Start by fuelling up with a hearty breakfast in the Fairways Restaurant. In the morning light you can take in the stunning view of the golf course and quite often spot a deer or two. After breakfast take a 30-minute drive to Glendalough for a day of adventure.

By far one of Irelands most scenic and beautiful places to visit. The thing that draws visitors to the ‘Valley of the Two Lakes’ is its rich monastic history, the fascinating wildlife and of course the absolutely stunning scenery at every turn. The Glendalough Valley is located in the Wicklow Mountains National Park which has many scenic walks and trails, enough to fill a whole day. A lovely stroll or a 3 hour hike…..you choose.

The monuments and lakes are accessible all year round at any time of the day. There is no charge to see the Monastic sites (churches/round tower) or the Upper and Lower Lakes except the car park fees for the Upper Lake and the Visitor Centre.

If the sun is still shining when you return to the hotel that evening, you may opt to have share a pizza on our beautiful outdoor terrace area while soaking up the picturesque setting.

Or, if you are not fully exhausted after a day in the great outdoors, or would just like to wind down and relax, you can catch the latest blockbuster movie at the Odeon Cinema in Naas, just a 20-minute drive from Tulfarris.

Three Nights: Last Day

So, you stayed in one of the finest golf resorts and have yet to lift a club! If you are an avid golfer, todays activity is straight forward. Test your skill on our, Patrick J Merrigan designed, 18-hole Championship Golf Course.  Or, if golf is not usually your thing, why not try your hand in our driving range. You’d never know, you might be a natural!  Clubs can be provided by our Proshop on the grounds for a small fee and pre-booking is required.

If golf is not of interest at all, why not relax and enjoy the atmosphere at Tulfarris Hotel with an afternoon tea or cocktail in our Brasserie Bar.
