Introduction to our Manor House

We’ve told you all about our fabulous hotel and restaurant, now we’ll introduce you to our beautiful Manor House and all of the features that makes it one of the star attractions in Tulfarris. The house has an exciting history and its bedrooms are unique in design and character. Keep reading to learn more.

History

The house dates back to the 18th century but the land it stands on has a history dating all the way back to 1192. The land changed hands many times from noble families and British soldiers to its most recent private residents, Dr. Karl Mullen, a renowned Irish rugby player, and his family. The house and lands were bought in 1987 and converted into the 4-star hotel you see today. In less recent history, did you know the mound on the grounds of Tulfarris contains bone fragments dating back to the Stone and Iron ages!

Décor

The Manor house is full of character and charm, down to the finest details. Each of the seven bedrooms are decorated with its own unique style inspired by the natural flora on the estate. The lavish king sized beds, sumptuous bedding and deep pile carpets add to the feeling of luxury. The bedrooms may have old world style but they come with some surprising modern features to ensure your comfort and relaxation at all times, like our under-floor heating and complimentary wi-fi for all guests.

Facilities

When you stay in our Manor House you not only have access to all of the facilities offered by Tulfarris Hotel but some exclusive facilities only available to our Manor House guests. Guests of the Manor will have exclusive access to the two elegant drawing rooms and library. We can also offer a private dining experience in our dining room depending on your event. We also have a beautiful exterior courtyard complete with outdoor heaters, decorative planting and tealights. Although it doesn’t come exclusively with the private rental of the house you can, of course, make full use of the championship golf course.

Complete Privacy

Our beautiful Manor House is available for private hire, which includes all of the facilities you see above and accommodation in our 7 unique bedrooms. The house is a classic venue for weddings, receptions, corporate parties, personal parties, meetings and conferences and you are guaranteed complete privacy for the duration of your stay. You may decide to hold your wedding or event in the main hotel and book the Manor House for accommodation only, ensuring your family and close friends have the highest quality in luxury accommodation.

We offer private rental of the Manor House only as part of a package to ensure it is loved and treated as well by our guests as by our staff.
