Our fabulous Manor house has undergone an extensive redecoration and refurbishment to bring it back to its former glory. We are delighted to unveil the refurbishment in which our talented design team has lovingly restored our 18th- Century manor house ensuring to preserve its original features. Here are some of the changes you can expect to see:
The house is completely separate to our main hotel, with a separate entrance, driveway and complete privacy for all of its occupants. There are a total of 7 bedrooms in the house and each has been designed and decorated uniquely. Each room represents the indigenous flora which can be found growing around Tulfarris and the Blessington Lakes and is named aptly. Each room was designed with your comfort in mind and we are delighted it has turned out so well. There are also two drawing rooms, a private dining area, and a library which our guests have full use of.
Each of the bedrooms has a king-sized bed with luxurious bedding and plush cushions to make sure you sleep soundly in your own personal cloud. Our bedroom floors are either covered with a deep pile carpet or a hardwood floor showing its character with a subtle patina. The large windows each have a stunning view of the surrounding lakes and at night close the opulent drapes to help you feel comforted and right at home.
All of our furniture is antique and fits in perfectly with the 18th Century design and décor. In some rooms, you will find a chaise longue, the perfect place to read, relax or admire the view. Many of the bedrooms have real wood fires, ideal to light for cooler evenings and to add to that feeling of home from home comfort.
While our rooms are designed to be in keeping with the 18th Century house, we have added all of the amenities you expect to see in a modern hotel room. There are flat screen TV’s, wi-fi and a fully stocked coffee machine for your personal use.
Each of our en suite bathrooms was designed to be stylish, relaxing and as comfortable as possible. The bathroom fixtures are in keeping with the rest of the house and include a freestanding, claw foot bath and a combination of wooden and marble décor. There is always an abundance of hot water so you can enjoy the freestanding shower or run yourself a luxurious bath. We’ve even added under-floor heating, so you don’t have to deal with freezing cold tiled floors first thing in the morning!
While the house is not available to hire room by room, we can offer the entire house as part of a package deal. If you are getting married in Tulfarris it’s ideal for a bridal party and offers a beautiful backdrop for pictures. We can also arrange a corporate team building trip for you and your colleagues complete with private dining in the Manor House.
