5 Nights: Day 1

Check into Tulfarris, treat yourself to a light snack and a welcome drink in our Brasserie Bar, where the team are on hand to welcome you.

It might be tempting to relax in your luxurious bedroom for the afternoon but you should head out and explore the best of what West Wicklow has to offer. Take an afternoon trip to Russborough House our most prestigious local attraction, located just a 10-minute drive from the hotel.

Russborough is regarded as one of Irelands most beautiful houses with magnificent views of the Blessington Lakes and Wicklow Mountains. It is the reputed to be the longest house in Ireland with a frontage measuring 700 feet and houses the Beit Art Collection.

There is plenty to do for adults and children alike. From the excellent playground to a magical fairy island and maze, parkland walks and walled garden, artist’s studios and the National Bird of Prey Centre, outdoor activities with CP adventures. Not forgetting the incredible tour of the Russborough House itself, there is no better place to get out in the fresh air.

When you return to your home from home, spend your first evening enjoying the fabulous flavours in our Brasserie Bar. Everything from light snacks to hearty meals, our Brasserie Bar is a perfect place to enjoy a casual meal. 5 Nights: Day 2

After enjoying a full Irish breakfast in our Fairways Restaurant, why not enjoy the spectacular views that West Wicklow has to offer by taking a walk along the Blessington Greenway.

The Blessington Greenway walk links the historic town of Blessington with the Palladian mansion at Russborough House. The trail starts 7km from the hotel at Russellstown just across from Russborough House. The walkway leads north along the shores of Blessington Lakes and through forest and natural woodland. To enjoy the full Greenway and loop back to Russelltown it is 10km walk, but the distance walked is entirely up to you. Along the way you will have the opportunity to enjoy a picnic and appreciate the magnificent scenery and wildlife.

If you are up for a little adventure you could take a boat out on the lake. You would need to pre book in advance, details can be found at www.blessingtonlakeboathire.com. The boat hire would take place from Ballyknockan which is a 15-minute drive from Tulfarris Hotel & Golf Resort.

After all this fresh air, join us in our newly refurbished Fairways Restaurant, for a sumptuous evening meal carefully crafted with ingredients from local suppliers. Dessert is a must!

Enjoy a nightcap in our Brasserie Bar, why not try a Tulfarris Tipple….when in Rome!

5 Nights: Day 3

After a leisurely breakfast in our Fairways Restaurant, prepare to take in more of what the Garden County has to offer and visit Glendalough.

By far one of Irelands most scenic and beautiful places to visit. The thing that draws visitors to the ‘Valley of the Two Lakes’ is its rich monastic history, the fascinating wildlife and of course the absolutely stunning scenery at every turn. The Glendalough Valley is located in the Wicklow Mountains National Park which has many scenic walks and trails, enough to fill a whole day. It’s free to visit and only a 30-minute drive from the hotel.

There is no charge to see the Monastic sites (churches/round tower) or the Upper and Lower Lakes except the car park fees for the Upper Lake and the Visitor Centre.

If you are not fully exhausted after a day in the great outdoors, or would just like to wind down after a day in the outdoors, you can catch the latest blockbuster movie at the Odeon Cinema in Naas, just a 20-minute drive from Tulfarris.
