Ready Golf

'Ready Golf' means:

  • Being ready to play, not playing when ready.
  • The player with the Honour should be ready to play – If not then someone else should go first! (except in matchplay).
  • Lost  Balls -  everyone should help out to find a lost ball but players should play their own ball first.
  • On the fairway -  walk to your ball as soon as possible and be ready to play as soon as it is your turn.
  • Speed up play on the greens -  get ready to putt before it’s your turn. Players should line up their putts while other players are putting so they are ready to putt when it’s your turn.

If each person in a 4 ball could just play 20 to 25 seconds quicker, then you will make up 25 to 30mins for each round Ready golf does not mean rushing. If you prepare in advance you can take your time & PLAY READY GOLF.

Course Developments

PREM Group acquired the property in May 2016 and have made significant improvements to the course and resort. Works to date include: Investment in new course machinery. Cutting of the heavy rough, greatly improving the playability of the course €150,000 investment programme for the bunkers (works ongoing over the next 2 years) New tee markers, yardage markers and hole maps. Resurfacing of paths around the course (phase 1 complete, phase 2 in 2017). New fencing, planting and landscaping all around the resort. Dedicated private member’s bar. Increased numbers of green keeping staff, David now has a team of 9 working on the course. General landscaping of the resort has been outsourced to a specialist company allowing David’s team to focus on the course improvements. We have an ambitious and exciting programme of works in place for 2017 and beyond, further enhancing the bunkers, greens and fairways. We are also introducing additional specialist equipment to maintain the course to the highest possible standard. In Spring 2017, we plan to relocate the golf shop and check in area to the cottage, bringing golfers much closer to the practise putting green and driving range.
